Board President - Jonathan Redgrave
Jonathan Redgrave was elected to the Board in 2015, was selected Vice-President in 2016 and was selected as President since 2017. Jonathan also serves as Chair on the Safety/Security Committee. Jonathan lives with his wife, Vickie, in GreyRock, where they have lived full-time since September of 2017.
Jonathan and Vickie have six boys, two granddaughters and one lovable yellow Labrador retriever, Cooper. If you visit the neighborhood, you will often see Jonathan and Cooper out for a stroll. Jonathan's mother lives nearby in Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure development.
Jonathan practices law at Redgrave LLP with Vickie. Jonathan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1989 and then the University of Minnesota Law School in 1991. Jonathan and Vickie also own Mountain Brook Vineyards, an award winning winery located just 30 miles from GreyRock, in Tryon, NC.
Board Vice President - Casey Henderson
Casey Henderson was appointed to the Board of Directors on January 20, 2009 and was elected as President and served many years as President. In October 2020 Casey was elected as Vice President Director serving on the Infrastructure and Marketing Communication Committees, as well as the Phase Three Task Force. As Vice President, Casey runs the meetings in the absence of the President.
Board Secretary - Fay Kobland Fay Kobland was originally appointed to the Board with two other property owners, Casey Henderson and Anne Oklowski. On January 20, 2009 she was elected as Secretary, with Casey as President and Anne as Treasurer in a special meeting with George Nowack, attorney for the Association. She continued in her appointed capacity until the first election of Board of Directors by owners that was held in October 15, 2011.
Fay and her husband, John, have moved from New Jersey, where they raised their family, to GreyRock at Lake Lure. Fay’s passion is photography so the natural beauty of the land in western North Carolina was one of the factors that drew the Kobland’s to move to Lake Lure. By profession, Ms. Kobland holds her Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Oklahoma and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 39 years working in a public school with special education students and their parents. Fay and John are delighted with the warm welcome given them by new friends in the Lake Lure area.
During her 12-year tenure as secretary on the GreyRock Board of Directors, Fay has gained an extensive knowledge of the history of GreyRock. She has also learned a great deal about the workings of Homeowners Associations, including legal matters, budgets, reserve accounts, infrastructure development and general maintenance procedures. As secretary, she is responsible for writing and maintaining meeting agenda, minutes and numerous other records. Fay serves on the Design Review Board for GreyRock and is a valued member of the Marketing-Communications Committee, functioning as editor of the GreyRock Today Newsletter. Her vision of GreyRock is of a vibrant community of unparalleled beauty and oneness with nature in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Board Treasurer - William "Bill" C. Bogner Dr. William C. Bogner was the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs and an Associate Professor in the Department of Managerial Sciences at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. In his administrative roles he manages an academic program for over 6,200 students in the Robinson BBA Program and Chaired the Undergraduates Academic Program Council for the University, among other duties. As a researcher, he has published in leading academic journals, has made numerous presentations at the annual meetings in North America, Europe and Asia. At Georgia State Dr. Bogner taught courses on Strategic Management in the MBA, EMBA and PhD programs. He served for fifteen years as the Treasurer of the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy of Management and he was the initial Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer of the Strategy Research Foundation. Dr. Bogner is also an attorney licensed by the state of Illinois. He, His wife, Dr. Pamela Barr, and their Soft-coated Wheaten terrier, Rosie, live in Chamblee, GA.
Dr. Bogner joined the Communications Committee in 2017. He became the Chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee when it was formed in 2018. Dr. Bogner was elected to the Board in October, 2020 and was selected as the Board Treasurer.
Board Assistant Treasurer - Michael Malo Michael "Mike" Malo was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2010 to fill an open Board position and was elected as Treasurer. He has served as either Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer since. Mike is also on the Finance Committee and Phase Three Task Force.
Board Member - Jeff Whitlock
Jeff Whitlock was elected to the Board of Directors on October 15, 2022. In the past, Jeff has served on the Marketing-Communications and Phase 3 Task Force Committees. Jeff owns 7 lots in Phases 1 and 2 and owns 3 Phase 3 lots in the bear gate add one in Phase 3 in the conservation area. Jeff was a regular attendee at the annual meeting held in Lake Lure. Jeffrey lives in Lemont, Illinois. In addition to owning rental property like an apartment building and duplexes, Jeff works full-time as a kitchen designer. His vision for GreyRock along with his interest is an asset to the Board of Directors.
Board Director - Gerald C. Fox, Jr. On October 17, 2020 Gerald "Skip" G. Fox, Jr. was elected to the Board as a Director At-large and serves on the Marketing-Communications Committee and the Infrastructure Committee.
Board Committees
Infrastructure Committee Chair - John Kobland
John Kobland was appointed by the Board of Directors as Chairperson of the GreyRock Infrastructure Committee in June, 2012. Prior to that, he served as a member of individual committees, including the Roads Committee, Utilities Committee and Water Committee. Subsequently, those committees were combined into a single Infrastructure Committee to enhance overall efficiency. In 2020 he was appointed to the Safety and Security Committee.
John and his wife Fay moved to their newly constructed mountain home in GreyRock at Lake Lure with their golden retriever Toby in 2017. John plays at golf with friends, attempting valiantly to ‘perfect’ his game, which is in sore need of improvement. John and Fay have joined local service and social organizations, such as the Lake Lure Lions Club, the Newcomers Club and the Chamber of Commerce. They have found Lake Lure to be an exceptionally welcoming area of open arms, love and friendship. John’s educational background is in biology and microbiology. He worked many years as a scientist and then as a manager in agricultural and pharmaceutical research companies in New Jersey.
In his role on the Infrastructure Committee, John has learned considerably more than he ever imagined about road construction, soil erosion, water resources, electric installation and environmental issues. He has established working liaisons with many infrastructure-related persons and organizations to effectively promote the interests of GreyRock. He was a principal in getting roads and electric installed in the community and was the contact person for a formal groundwater source exploration study.
John works diligently to keep the Board informed of his Committee’s ongoing efforts and to obtain approval on project costs and processes.ohn’s vision for GreyRock is one of beautiful mountain homes nestled in a vibrant mountain community filled with friendships, natural wonders and stunning views. This vision forms a guidepost for much of his efforts and activities.
Design Review Board Chairperson - Vickie Redgrave
Vickie Redgrave serves as Chairperson of the Design Review Board and is also a member of the GreyRock Infrastructure Committee. Vickie and her husband Jonathan purchased their home in GreyRock in 2015, making it their permanent home in 2017. Vickie is a Partner at the law firm Redgrave LLP. She and her husband also own Mountain Brook Vineyards, an award winning winery with a newly constructed tasting area, located just 30 miles from GreyRock, in Tryon, NC.

Stephanie Clark - Community Property Manager
Stephanie Clark joined Tessier Property Management team in 2019 following 10 years of service at IPM and almost 5 years of that time managing GreyRock Community Association. Stephanie has over 20 years of Property Management experience specializing in condominium, home and property owners associations and apartment management. She is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker.
Stephanie is a native of Asheville and enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Chris, and two sons, Kyle and Caleb, and their Bernedoodle “Bella".

Mike Breaker
When Mike retired from Dentistry in 2012, he and his wife Diane, moved to Lake Lure NC - One of the most picturesque places in the United States. Mike says, "The Mountains of Western North Carolina remind us of our travels through Switzerland, the beautiful Gardens and Architecture at The Biltmore Estate are just as colorful and exquisite as the Chateaus of France, and the Sparkly Sunshine on Lake Lure is just as effervescent as any visit to the Lake Region of Northern Italy." In Combination with the Art Scene in Asheville...Mike says, "The only thing better than the outstanding NC scenery, and the incredibly friendly people, is the outstanding weather!
